The big news over the last couple of days is the potential cancellation of the 2021 NFL Scouting Combine. Adam Schefter reported this morning that due to COVID concerns the annual event may be postponed or outright canceled. Regional combines could substitute but a loss of full-scale event could prove disastrous for NFL teams and evaluators like myself. It could prove even more so for day three/UDFA prospects. The hope is we will have more concrete answers in the coming days.
One event that is still on the schedule is the Senior Bowl. The roster has to be nearing completion with the addition of two more players. Oklahoma RB Rhamondre Stevenson (DFD TG: 8) and Southern Cal DL Marlon Tuipulotu (DFD TG: 7.92) are the latest to join the roster.
There is a report by Pro Football Talk that the Senior Bowl is having issues procuring coaching staffs. Teams are usually gung-ho about the opportunity to coach rosters full of potential draftees but allegedly that is not the case this year. Zac Taylor and the Bengals staff would have been a likely choice to coach again this year but he publicly declined last week.

The 2022 NFL Draft got a boost when a handful of top-level prospects opted to return to school. Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder and edge rusher Myjai Sanders, Indiana WR Ty Fryfogle, and Iowa State TE Charlie Kolar are all returning to school next season.
