Quick Draft Snack

It is “Black Monday” in the NFL. Multiple head coaches are getting their walking papers and dozens more assistant coaches. The Jets have finally done away with Adam Gase. The Jaguars have terminated Doug Marrone. In Los Angeles, a four-game winning streak to close the season couldn’t save Anthony Lynn‘s job.

Cincinnati will be keeping Zac Taylor around but is expected that he will be cutting loose several assistant coaches, including the much maligned (and deservedly so) OL coach Jim Turner. Taylor also stated that the Bengals staff would not be coaching in the Senior Bowl again this year despite them being eligible to do so. It appears that the Eagles and Panthers staffs will be in Mobile later this month.

A few more names have entered the 2021 NFL Draft early. Kansas State CB A.J. Parker, Oklahoma OT Adrian Ealy, Notre Dame guard Aaron Banks, and Auburn WR Anthony Schwartz will all enter the draft.

Tennessee senior WR Velus Jones will go back to Tennessee for another season. Jones is one of the top return men in CFB. Despite committing to the Senior Bowl last month, Penn State CB Tariq Castro-Fields will return to Happy Valley next year.

Speaking of the Senior Bowl, they received accepted invites from the aforementioned Adrian Ealy and Cal corner Camryn Bynum. Bynum, at 8.42, will have the highest tape grade from me of anyone else at the position in this year’s game (to this point).
