Dishing on the Draft (11/11/20)

Welcome back to another edition of Dishing on the Draft. This week, we talk about the latest Senior Bowl invite acceptances, some key injuries in CFB, and more.

The Senior Bowl added 11 more players to the list of invitation acceptances this week, including the first QB this year.

WR-Cade Johnson-South Dakota State

S-Christian Uphoff-Illinois State

WR-Nico Collins-Michigan

CB-Ambry Thomas-Michigan

DL-Levi Onwuzurike-Washington

QB-Jamie Newman-Georgia/Wake Forest

CB-Thomas Graham-Oregon

TE-Kenny Yeboah-Ole Miss

EDGE-Shaka Toney-Penn State

CB-Robert Rochell-Central Arkansas

G-Royce Newman-Ole Miss

The Temple transfer, Kenny Yeboah, has been dominating SEC competition this season. His teammate Royce Newman will join him. Cade Johnson, Uphoff, and Rochell join three other FCS players who have already accepted. I have yet to fully study these five players. Of the other six, Shaka Toney is my highest graded player. He is followed by Graham, Onwuzurike, Newman, Thomas, and Collins.

This week brought a few significant and potentially significant injuries to a handful of draft prospects.

Michigan junior edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a leg fracture.

BYU junior RB Lopini Katoa suffered a knee injury late in the Cougars romp of Boise State. The extent isn’t known yet.

Cincinnati senior safety James Wiggins injured his shoulder on the first play from scrimmage against Houston. Wiggins missed all of 2019 with an injury. The extent isn’t known yet.

The Las Vegas Raiders were fined $500K, head coach Jon Gruden was fined $150K, and the team was stripped of a 6th-round pick due to being a repeat offender of the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols.

For the foreseeable future, I will be forgoing this section of “Dishing on the Draft” due to a basic lack of interest from the readers. I will instead utilize the extra time to watch an extra game or two during the week.
