2021 NFL Draft Preliminary Safeties List

After putting a bow on the 2020 NFL Draft with team-by-team recaps it is now time to look to the future. The 2020 college football season “should be” getting underway in a little over two months. When (if?) the season starts, Deep Fried Draft will be right there bringing you all of the things you are accustomed to seeing from me.

Like last year, I am entering the 2021 NFL Draft season with 300 names on my watch list.

Today, we are going to look at the safeties. These players will be listed only by class and not in any sort of official ranking.

2021 Preliminary Safeties List

Kekaula Kaniho Boise State Sr 5’10 182

Hamsah Nasirildeen Florida State Sr 6’4 216
Richard LeCounte Georgia Sr 5’10 190
Marcelino Bell Indiana Sr 5’11 223
Greg Eisworth Iowa State Sr 5’11 198
JaCoby Stevens LSU Sr 6’1 227
Myles Wolfolk North Carolina Sr 6’0 195
Brady Breeze Oregon Sr 6’0 196

Quentin Lake UCLA Sr 6’0 193
Divine Deablo Virginia Tech Sr 6’2 223

The top name amongst the senior safety class is probably Florida State senior Hamsah Nasirildeen. He is probably going to be the hybrid safety/LB at the NFL level. I also like Pitt safety, Damar Hamlin. UCLA’s Quentin Lake is the son of former NFL great Carnell Lake.

Yusuf Corker Kentucky Jr 6’0 192
Jevon Holland Oregon Jr 6’1 196
Paris Ford Pittsburgh Jr 6’0 190
Isaiah Pola-Mao Southern Cal Jr 6’4 205
Andre Cisco Syracuse Jr 6’0 203
Caden Sterns Texas Jr 6’1 205
Leon O’Neal Texas A&M Jr 6’0 210

I am not enamored with the junior class of safeties. However, I am intrigued by Southern Cal’s Isaiah Pola-Mao.
