2020 NFL Draft: Pre-Combine Interior Offensive Line Rankings

The 2020 NFL Draft season is in full peak. We have made it through the Senior Bowl and we are now fast approaching the Scouting Combine.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be releasing my Pre-Combine position rankings. No score is final because of the lack of athletic testing data. This data will come after combine and pro days are completed.

Today, we will look at the interior offensive linemen. I have watched tape on 34 IOL prospects to this point.

TOP GUYS

Lloyd Cushenberry and Matt Hennessey both elevated their grades for me at the Senior Bowl. They both can anchor well and can move. Cushenberry gets a slight edge with better hand placement. Both should be long term NFL starting pivots. Shane Lemieux and Robert Hunt are 1A and 1B for me at guard. Lemieux is more of a technician where Hunt is a rip your face off and make you like it type of player.

IOL I LIKE MORE THAN MOST

Despite falling off some from 2018 to 2019, I still believe Tyler Biadsz has what it takes to be a day one starting center at the next level. Justin Herron was a starting tackle at Wake but he showed he can be a dominant guard at the Senior Bowl.

IOL I LIKE LESS THAN MOST

I think Cesar Ruiz can be a starting center someday but I don’t think that day is immediate. I am also lower on Logan Stenberg. Stenberg was more down than up during Senior Bowl practices and was constantly being corrected on his technique.

LATE ROUND PROSPECTS TO TAKE A FLIER ON

Two centers that I think have a good shot to develop are Tim Lynott and Donnell Stanley. Stanley, at the very least, can back up all interior positions.

Next time out, we will look at the edge rushers.
